About Albury-Wodonga

Wodonga is one of Victoria's largest and fastest growing regional cities strategically located on the Hume Highway just three hours from Melbourne and six hours from Sydney. It services a regional population of around 160,000 and its position on the main Australian transport and communications corridor makes it an attractive business location.

Wodonga's prime location is arguably the most strategic and important in Australia in terms of freight and distribution movement for the Eastern Seaboard.

North East Victorian vineyards

Wodonga is a renowned gourmet food and wine region, with rich historical sites, a dynamic arts and cultural scene, and first-class health, education and sporting facilities. It's also surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, including the Murray River and the Australian Alpine region.

Dean Street Albury

A thriving modern city with a leisurely country style, Albury Wodonga is a charming mix of stately heritage buildings, established parks and gardens and tree-lined streets. The Murray River flows between the twin cities, winding through a magnificent unspoiled landscape of rolling valleys, hills and lush farmlands. Once a busy trade route for paddle steamers, the river is now very much a part of Albury Wodonga's relaxed and attractive lifestyle. Wodonga combines the convenience of a metropolitan lifestyle with the appeal of rural living.

North East Victorian wineries

The wine areas of Rutherglen, Beechworth, Milawa and King Valley to the south and Tumbarumba to the north make for a great wine lovers experience. There are festivals throughout the year celebrating local wine and food, sport and jazz. The Rutherglen wineries and restaurants are among some of the best in regional Australia.

Kangaroo

Wodonga has over 90km of bike/walking paths providing the perfect opportunity to meander by the river or enjoy one of the scenic routes that link the City. Picturesque parks and gardens are dotted throughout the community, an ideal spot to picnic. Quality restaurants, coffee shops and taverns in the region offer wonderful food and entertainment for locals and visitors alike. The hillsides and parkland reserves provide the ideal bushwalking and hiking tracks for the novice as well as the experienced walker. Sit by one of the tranquil rivers, watch the platypus play, enjoy the bird life or throw in a line. Wodonga enjoys a beautiful climate - hot dry summers, mild autumns and spring, along with cool winters.

Recreation facilities abound

World class recreational facilities are on offer in the area.

Wodonga offers an excellent range of top class sporting facilities, including Australia's largest regional tennis complex with 30 grass courts and 22 hard courts.
